CALGARY
LANDMARKS Calgary is a modern City. Many of the buildings were constructed during the economic "boom" of the late seventies. On the above photo, the two brown and highest towers on the right are the PetroCanada Towers. In the center you can see the Calgary Tower that features a revolving top restaurant. It was the City's highest structure at one time. Just on the left of it, the two large towers are Banker's Hall. On the lower left you can partially see the Saddledome, home of the Calgary Flames NHL hockey club. The Saddledome was built in 1988, and completed just in time for the Calgary 1988 Winter Olympics. |
